Our Class
A stage reading of a play "Our Class" by Tadeusz Slobodzianek
"Our Class" is a Polish play about Holocaust and complicated Polish-Jewish relations in the 20th century. Uncovering the mechanism of a tragedy affecting people who, in a certain time and place, found themselves in a unique coincidence of history, ideology, and religion, the author tries to ask about the human condition amidst this coincidence that has led to crime, revenge, and suffering.

Despite the fact that the play is written about Polish history and society we find it to be acute for Belarus, because it is raising an urgent question of national collective memory, inter-communal relationship and the aftermath of WWII — the play makes sense to everyone who is living in a society where private life should somehow comply with the politics.
